Tesla Powerwall
Powerwall is a battery that stores energy, detects outages and automatically becomes your home’s energy source when the grid goes down. Unlike generators, Powerwall keeps your lights on and phones charged without upkeep, fuel or noise. Pair with solar and recharge with sunlight to keep your appliances running for days.
Connect with Solar
Powerwall gives you the ability to store energy for later use and works with or without solar. Each Powerwall system includes at least one Powerwall and a Backup Gateway, which provides energy monitoring, metering and management for the system. Powerwall can be charged by solar during the day, when solar panels are producing more electricity than the home is consuming. Powerwall then stores that energy until the home needs it, such as when solar is no longer producing at night, or when the utility grid is offline during a power outage.
Whole Home Backup
Powerwall brings you energy independence and security, so life in your home can carry on uninterrupted, when the grid goes down. During a power cut, Powerwall discharges its stored energy to provide power to your home. Depending on the inverter, your Powerwall can recharge from your solar system, even during backup mode, so you can keep running your home from solar and Powerwall. A traditional solar system without a Powerwall does not function during a power cut.
